Why pavers problems can't wait.
Pavers almost never fail at the surface; they fail underneath. The pavers themselves are incredibly durable, but the base beneath them decides whether a patio stays flat for twenty years or starts to heave in two. The corners that get cut are usually below grade where no one can see them. Get the excavation, base depth, and pitch right, and the same pavers will stay tight, level, and draining for decades.

How we build it — and what makes it ours.
A paver install is built from the bottom up. We excavate to subgrade, lay geotextile fabric so the soil cannot pump up into the base, and build the base in lifts of crushed stone — compacting each lift, not just the top. Patios and walkways typically need 4–6 inches of compacted base; driveways need 8–12 because cars and freeze-thaw do not forgive a thin base. A thin sand bed is screeded level so every paver sits in the same plane. Pavers are set tight in the chosen pattern, with a soldier course or border to define the edges. The perimeter gets a real edge restraint spiked into the base so the field cannot migrate. Finally, polymeric sand is swept into every joint and activated so the pavers lock into one solid surface. The Prestige touch: pitch is planned before the digging starts so every patio sheds water away from the house, every driveway drains to the street, and every cut is measured twice to avoid slivers at the border.

1. Excavate and build the base in lifts
We dig deep, lay fabric, and pack crushed stone in layers — compacting each lift instead of just the top. The depth you cannot see is the depth that matters.
2. Screeded sand bed and clean cuts
The sand bed is screeded level, pavers are set in pattern, and measured cuts are made at borders and curves with a real soldier course around the perimeter.
3. Edge restraint, polymeric joints, and final compaction
Edge restraint is spiked into the base, polymeric sand is swept and activated in every joint, and the surface is compacted one last time. Flat, locked, and draining the right way.
